Moving Tips

Tips For A Smooth Move

  1. It is a good idea to go through all of your belongings, and give away or throw away things you do not need
  2. Packing
    • Be sure to have plenty of moving supplies; boxes, paper, tape, etc.
    • Pack your boxes tight, so that nothing can move inside.
    • Make sure all boxes are taped on the top and the bottom.
    • You should never use plastic bags for packing.
    • Make sure all your dishes are packed on their edge, NOT FLAT.
    • Pack your glasses open end face down.
    • Label each carton for the room it is to go into in your new home.
  3. Make sure your Refrigerators and freezers are EMPTY before moving
  4. We can not transport any Flammable, combustible or caustic items. Example: paints, oils, fire extinguishers, aerosol cans, propane tanks, bleach, etc.
  5. As we empty each of your rooms, please check to make sure all of your rooms are completely empty. You are responsible to make sure your house is completely empty before our movers leave.
  6. To make unloading more efficient, it is a good idea to have a floor plan ready for your new home.
  7. Customers are responsible for removing snow and ice from their driveways, walkways, steps, during winter months.
